In 2025, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Bulgaria will once again have the opportunity to receive grants through the SME Fund. The program, developed by the European Commission and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), is aimed at protecting intellectual property and helping businesses establish their competitive advantage.
Two of the fund's most popular instruments – Voucher 1 and Voucher 2 – offer significant relief for companies.
Voucher 1 provides a 90% reimbursement for the cost of a preliminary IP scan. This service is extremely useful for companies and entrepreneurs who want to understand which aspects of their business are subject to protection and create an IP strategy tailored to their needs.
With Voucher 2, businesses can recover 75% of fees for trademark and design registration within the European Union and for international protection. Registering a trademark or design not only protects the company's identity, but also increases its value and trust among customers.
